   Havana Boat Races Return

   The NBRA's welcome message reads:

  "National Boat Racing Association (NBRA) offers some of the best competition to be found in stock and modified outboard boat racing. Be it hydroplane or runabout outboard boats. NBRA offers premier competition in 14 different classes, ranging from the small yet challenging Novice class for the beginner, up to the fast and exciting Super E class for the more experience driver. It is the mission of NBRA to keep the “grass root” style of boat racing available and affordable for future generations. Bring the whole family and enjoy a weekend of boat racing with NBRA. THE COMPETITION LAST FOR THREE LAPS-THE FRIENDSHIPS FOREVER."

    

   It's been a long time...but they're back. For many like this young lady, she had heard the "old folks" talk about the boat races at the river and the fun of watching them from the park. Young and old alike, so many Havana residents have longed for more "hometown events" such as the return of this old favorite. CONGRATULATIONS to Mark Friedrich and all involved...Great Job Everyone! It was wonderful to see the great crowds, I hope the entire community and area will continue to support this and similar events and keep them here for a long time to come.
