Well, it's a sign...

   On Wednesday, March 14, 2007, I placed more detailed images (below) of our Welcome to Havana sign located by the bridge and on land given to Hardee's by the City of Havana with the agreement they would place the sign there and maintain it. As you can see in those photos the sign was not maintained and looked horrible.

   On Monday, May 21, 2007, I captured the image below, of the empty frame and the old sign removed, in high hopes that a new sign was forthcoming. The empty frame remained that way until November of 2008 when the sign at right was inserted into the existing frame.

    

Havana Updates

 

   At this time I do not know if this is only a temporary sign until one can be made which fills the frame. We can only hope that it will not take another two years.

 
 
Park District Projects
 

   The Havana Park District has two river front projects in the works. Both were interupted by the recent floods but progress is showing at both work sites.
