Sam Kachanuk, Shot Put … the HHS Record books will read on the page for Boys Track & Field Individual Champions. This impressive record was set Friday, April 17th, at an invitational co-ed track meet in Lewistown, Illinois, were Sam would set the new School Record with a toss of 51' 6".
A very proud mom, and rightfully so, told me the news at the Prom on Saturday evening, and my jaw dropped. This is big stuff here folks. Think about it for a moment. The opportunity to set a new record happens in every school event but, in fact, is extremely rare.
I would like to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Sam Kachanuk, the new HHS Individual Shot Put Record Holder.
