Brave Americans such as the Task Force Phoenix have been deployed to all parts of the globe far away from friends, family, and home. Kabul, Afghanistan is a long way from Havana, Illinois but these troops have been keeping up with Cory Miller's story. These soldiers know all too well what it is to experience tough challenges every day and the bravery required to face those challenges.

I received the above photo taken on February 14th from them because they wanted to acknowledge the bravery of Cory Miller. Cory, these brave American soldiers  want to send you a big thumbs up for being such a fine straight-A student and for facing not only the challenges of your disabilities but also for being so brave in the face of your own mission to regain your freedom.

After receiving the photograph on Saturday I got a print and a frame and made arrangements to visit with Cory on Sunday. Prior to going over to his house I had the website update mocked up to give him a preview and grabbed these photos of his reaction above as he surfed over to 62644.com. I would say the Phoenix Task Force proved their point, you don't have to be in the field of battle to be brave and they are certainly experts when it comes to being brave. Congratulations Cory, you ROCK! And to the Task Force Phoenix, all my great appreciation for what you have done to place a huge smile on the face of this young man. God bless you all and keep you safe.
