     This cartoon pretty much says it all, every state, county, and community in America is dreaming and drooling all over themselves with both hands outstretched for the big bucks. Even the smallest communities of small town America wants many millions for their dream projects. Now you can see what everyone in the country has asked for. Just click on the state links below and you will be able to view what the mayors of that state have requested. This is interesting to say the least.

   For example when you go to Illinois you will  find all the  "shovel-ready" projects the mayors of this state submitted in the 2008 U.S. Conference of Mayors report. You can click on a project to read (and add to) its description. You can also discuss the project and vote on whether you believe it is critical or not. For a more local view, you can drill down to projects in a particular city. Just choose a city from the list. The total of cost of all the projects submitted by Illinois is $3,108,484,657
