Bob Kuntzmann…spends a great deal of time at the high school even now in the midst of his so called retirement. Most of you know Bob as a long-time Havana teacher and writer for the Mason County Democrat. His popular weekly column on the happenings at HHS and many other area schools is always packed with in-depth sports facts, interesting student activities, and of course, "Potpourri", Bob's own look at just about anything at all.

"Mr. K", keeps very busy gathering and writing all this information but it is far from the sum of his endeavors. For years Bob has spent hundreds of hours each year to compile a book for students who participate in local sports. These books contain all the students individual and team stats and many photographs. These cherished books are one of the highlights of their careers. Bob "gives" these books to the students and the time and expense is all provided by him. I think this is remarkable and such a great gift for students who work so hard during their high school careers.

Thank you, Bob, for all you do for this community, area, and of course the students. In case you don't do it regularly, pick up a copy of the Mason County Democrat and check out "The Sports Dude", and let him know his hard work is appreciated.
