The City Council met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers; Mayor Dale Roberts called the Council Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; City Clerk Ruby Miller called the roll and the following Aldermen answered to their names: Jim Sarnes, Greg Cox, Harold Palmer, Charles Campbell, Jim Stroh, Brenda Stadsholt & Don Bryant. Absent: Portia Brown. A quorum was present. Attorney Blake Lindner was present. Meeting taped. MAYOR’S Mayor Roberts reported the None REPORT H.G.Parkins Cemetery 2008 account statement has been presented to the City.
Mayor Roberts asked Gary None Davis to explain about the City’s water system. Gary Davis explained that the hydraulics on the 3 water wells and 3 water towers in our system need to work together to ensure better |

water quality as well as adequate fire flow from the system. Our water mains are 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” and this all effects the fire flow of the system. He said Farnsworth could do a hydraulic modeling of the system to ensure we have the results we are looking for.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT REPORT Terry Svob reported that the Illinois None Municipal League Roadshow is going to be in Macomb and he would give everyone a copy if they would like to attend.
Terry Svob also reported that the Rural Community Economic Development Council is having the 2009 conference in Peoria in March. The City is entitled to up to four registrations at the conference.
Terry Svob said that the Pennsylvania firm has demolished part of the building at Intermet. They are seeking NFR letters from the EPA on the property. Two wells in the area of the plume must be put on City water according to the EPA. Mayor Roberts said to have Jewel & Larry look at it. |

PLANNING Alderman Bryant reported the None Committee met on 1/23 to review the bike trail project. The Planning Committee will meet 2/5 at the Fire/Police Station to review the bike trail project and the Broadway project with Farnsworth Engineering. The Committee had met earlier this evening to review three different routes for the bike trail.
