Tracy will become much more involved than the original concept due to everyone's extremely positive reception of her contributions to date. She will also be taking special requests for birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions right here on the website and just for you. There is no charge for these requests. Meet Tracy High-Fisher

Editors Note:   You will find Tracy's musical experience beginning in Havana at the age of 10 to be impressive. Her experience is as impressive as her voice, but there is yet another very impressive fact about Tracy. Her life’s accomplishments to date have all been made while dealing with what some would consider to be a major disability, Tracy is legally blind. With the aid of special computer equipment she is also a talented design artist which you will soon be seeing examples of here on 62644.com. I am a big fan of her vocal and artistic talents, but it is her abilities that impress me most regardless of the difficulties involved, her determination, dedication, courage, and quest for perfection in the things she does is a remarkable accomplishment indeed. I am extremely proud to know and work with this extremely talented and gifted young lady here on the pages of this publication.

Dreams do come true.

The following is the bio of Tracy High-Fisher in her own words.

I was born and raised in Havana, Il. My parents are Charles and Shirley High, and many of you will know or have gone to school with any of my five brothers and sister. I actually began singing when I was a child in church - oh say around 10 or so. I was involved in talent competitions in church from very early until I graduated high school. At Havana Jr. High School, I was in 7th & 8th grade chorus as well as Swing Choir taught by Mrs. Geraldine Stone.

I attended Havana High School from 1981-1985. I was involved in Band, Pep Band and marching Band as a percussionist. I had the great privilege of being under the direction of Mr. Gil Silva. I was also in Chorus and spent a year as drummer for Swing Choir, From Freshman through Senior year I was involved – as most everyone else in the music department was – in Solo & Ensemble contest. We all did our parts to bring home several first and second place medals for vocal and instrumental performances. What a great time!

I was also involved in the Drama Club. We performed; “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown”, “Bye Bye Byrdie” and “The Sound of Music”. I absolutely LOVED being a part of the music department at Havana High School, and could not have asked for a better musical mentor than Mr. Silva. .I graduated in 1985 and received a music scholarship to Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, Illinois. The summer before college, I had the privilege of performing a couple of concerts at local churches. I was fortunate to have had an excellent accompanist in Matthew Edwards – extremely talented pianist.

My degree of concentration at Olivet Nazarene University was Vocal Performance. I am a professionally trained singer thanks to that educational experience. While in ONU, I was in several groups, Treble Clef Choir, Orpheus Choir, Life Song, College Choir and I traveled to churches on many weekends to sing. I spent two and a half years at ONU before leaving school to get married.

I spent the next 20 years as an Air Force wife. In that time I sent my then husband off to three wars, gave birth to two beautiful daughters and traveled all over the country. I was also fortunate enough to have been able to live in Germany and travel to a few surrounding countries. I never gave up my love for music, and continued to sing at every opportunity. I am now living in South Carolina at the moment with my youngest of two daughters.
Music has always been a passion for me. I cannot remember a time when I was not listening to or singing a song. My musical tastes are extremely eclectic. There is barely any genre of music that I do not like at some point or another. To say music is my life is an understatement. Cliché’ as it may sound.... music is like the air that I breathe-impossible to be without. There is not one single area of my life that music does not touch. If you were to ask my favorite song, I’d not be able to tell you. It matters on the mood I’m in or the situation at the moment. There is too much beauty to pick one solitary song or lyric. I am extremely honored to be a part of 62644.com. I am humbled at the opportunity that has been presented to me, and I will do my very best to make your visits to this page interesting and exciting. Thank you.
